We create tailor made packages for schools and clubs who have expressed an interest in volunteering at our Kenyan projects. We like to give these groups the opportunity to get involved with a range of different activities including working at our spirulina greenhouses, primary level teaching, preparing lunch for the orphans at our day care centres and working on jigger eradication campaigns.
We like to give groups of students the opportunity to experience the real Africa, which is something large corporate organisations do not do so effectively. We heavily discourage any sort of “voluntourism”, meaning you will be working 24/7 to better the lives of the people in the communities we support. No activity is a waste of time, and you will be able to make an incredible difference to the lives of people in desperate need.
We really encourage our volunteers to share their experiences once they return to the UK, and a key part of our programme is maintaining a relationship with our supporters once their time in Kenya comes to an end.
